One hi-fi journalist defined the sound from the SR 3-series speakers like this: Sound without brakes!

By this he meant that everything sounds uncompressed and lively. The reason for this is that we have been fighting low efficiency for many years.

The fight against low efficiency is very important, because the worst enemy of both real life dynamics and the ability to play softly, yet open and detailed is – yes – low efficiency.

The SR 3 Super has enjoyed many great reviews. One claimed that it “…plays with a bigger soundstage and a more real life bass.” than the other combatants in this group test.

Being the father of the rest of the SR 3 range, the SR 3 Super is a great all-rounder. Bettered by its bigger SR 3 siblings, of course. But still great.
