SUPREME HDMI MKII (& I²S audio)
The times in which the Lumière brothers entertained crowds of people with the “magic” of early cinema are long gone, however even today we are enraptured by special effects or Oscar-worthy performances. Video playback has made great strides to reach High Resolution, that is, a resolution that is often even more refined than reality. In this type of digital Audio-Video reproduction, the amount of data is impressive and having a standard cable nullifies all the effort of choosing the best equipment on the market.
Supreme MKII, the revision for I²S audio.
Why did we decide to improve an HDMI cable with an outdated version like 2.0b with a MKII revision? Simple, because Supreme HDMI performs damn well with this type of connections, which are still very frequent within many Audio/Video systems and in these contexts it often performs even better than Visus 2.1.
Another very important reason for this Upgrade is the introduction of the I²S protocol on the HDMI port into the Hi-Fi Audio world . This type of digital connection, which is increasingly present in electronics, has transfer needs that do not follow HDMI standards as happens in the Video world, as we have ascertained that to transport this type of separate clock signal, the construction structure of Supreme HDMI is much more viable than HDMI 2.1 cables.
It is important to remember that in order to enjoy the performance and functionality of I²S on the HDMI port, it is essential that the two peripherals have the same pinout , as there is no real standard as there is for HDMI video, consequently it can happen to have two devices with different pinouts.
Removable shell , great convenience .
It often happens, especially when talking about Home Cinema systems, that we find ourselves faced with the need to insert HDMI cables into corrugated cables or ducts and this becomes a problem when the connector is too large to pass through the wall.
To overcome this inconvenience, Ricable has implemented a removable body in Supreme HDMI which allows the head size of the connector to be significantly reduced and allows easier transit in tubes with 20 mm of opening.
The procedure is very simple: following the instructions supplied with the product, simply unscrew the two screws that secure the connector body, temporarily remove the body, pass the cable through the corrugated cable and reassemble the body once the procedure has been completed.
